Al-Amal is a faith-based support platform dedicated to Muslims in palliative care living with life limiting illnesses.

Focused on Muslims but inclusive to all. We embrace everyone regardless of faith or background.

Are you or someone you love in palliative care? Are you unsure of what to expect? How to make the most of your time? How your care will be coordinated? Do you need someone to talk to?

Mission

Our mission is to offer compassionate support tailored to the unique spiritual and cultural needs of Muslims facing life-limiting illness but inclusive to all. Through education, chaplaincy, and guidance, we aim to instil hope (Al Amal) and empower individuals to embrace each day to its fullest.

We can provide:

  • Emotional and spiritual support

  • Support in understanding medical decisions and medications

  • Sign posting to services according to your needs, including home care or in-patient palliative care

  • Resources on supportive care and how to plan for the future

  • Compassionate guidance to help consider priorities at the end of life

Please note: We cannot provide medical advice for individual patient cases

Al-Amal is culturally sensitive and Islamically aligned. We offer accurate and up-to-date information about palliative care and how quality of life can be improved.

“Abu Sa'id al-Khudri r.a. reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: Whenever a Muslim is afflicted with a hardship, sickness, sadness, worry, harm, or depression even a thorn's prick, Allah expiates his sins because of it.”
