Consultant In Palliative Care
Dr. Nadia Khan is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine in Birmingham, UK. She has specialised in the field of Palliative Care for 12 years.
Provides medical care to patients admitted to the inpatient ward, and also provides home visits to palliative patients. She is also a university education lead for palliative care.
Nadia is particularly keen to improve the palliative and end of life care experience within Muslim communities in the UK.

Chaplain
Shakila Chowdhury serves as a Muslim Chaplain, Mental Health First Aider and has been the Spiritual Care Lead in a palliative care setting in Birmingham, bringing 12 years of chaplaincy experience.
She provides support to patients in both inpatient units and their homes, addressing their spiritual and emotional needs. Beyond her role, she is a freelance educator on spiritual care and an active member of a local mosque, delivering talks on wellbeing and faith. She extends support to women in the community through "Let's Talk" sessions, creating a space for guidance and assistance.Passionate about enhancing spiritual and emotional well-being in palliative and end of life care, Shakila focuses on supporting Muslim communities in the UK.
In her role within Al-Amal, she is dedicated to offering emotional and spiritual support for the heart and soul.
